Every year, the HCC Hall of Fame Award celebrates those individuals whose contributions to the AV industry can be considered truly outstanding. This year our prestigious trophy goes to Terry O’Connell. Over the past 25 years, Terry has become synonymous with specialist AV brand Marantz; indeed, since 2000 she has sat on the Board of Directors of Marantz Japan. When Marantz was bought by D&M Holdings, it was perhaps inevitable that Terry would be invited to oversee an even broader range of home entertainment companies. Consequently, earlier this year Terry was appointed MD of the Consumer Division of D&M Holdings Europe, giving her responsibility for such stalwarts as Denon, Marantz, Boston Acoustics, Escient and McIntosh.
