Blade Runner
First Reviewed: HCC #151

This movie’s troubled production history has had one great benefit – it means that Blade Runner is a film the director and audience have been able to return to time and again on disc, where its dystopian vision has been tweaked to perfection. Fans would have been happy enough with the two-disc DVD edition, but the five-disc Final Cut package, with its variant versions of the movie and copious documentaries, really excels. The HD DVD and Blu-ray two-disc Special Editions add pin-sharp 1080p transfers that enhance sound and vision to previously unimaginable levels of detail.
